Around 10% of dogs in the U.K. suffer from heart disease at some point in their life. Some
breeds are gene cally predisposed such as the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Cocker
spaniels.
Within the popula on of 277 Clumber spaniels sampled in the survey, 96% of dogs had
shown no signs of heart disease or problems, with only 11 dogs repor ng heart related
issues. Most were reported as expected in adult dogs, 2 were reported in puppies.
