WSCC to run eye tes ng at the AGM yearly or every 2 years for members
to have their dogs tested when they a end.

All stud dogs should have a yearly KC/BVA eye test prior to breeding.

All breeding bitches should have a KC/BVA eye test within the 12 months
prior to producing a li er.

All Clumbers over 8 should ideally have a yearly eye test, this is especially
important for those who have tests gene cally affected for PRA to
monitor for any signs of this to help establish prevalence in the breed and
allow for lifestyle adjustments to be made for the dog.

All members are encouraged to submit a copy of their eye cer fica ons to
the WCSS Health Advisory Panel and the CSC health subcommi ee to help
monitoring of eye condi ons within the breed.

The Clumber Spaniel Club provides free tes ng for all members dogs aged
8 and over, and an eye tes ng session is now held in conjunc on with the
CSC’s Championship Show each year.

Owners to consider having gonioscopy during their rou ne BVA eye
tes ng to help gather informa on on PLA in the breed as the risk of
glaucoma and PLA issues is not known in the breed.

Where possible owners should consider submi ng a copy of their BVA eye
test results to the CSC health subcommi ee and the WCSS health advisory
panel for monitoring.
