Breeding Survey Results
Recommenda ons
1)
Bitch owners should not accept a stud dog who does not have full health
test results. These should include but not be limited to:
A)
Hip scores – below breed average.
B)
Elbow scores 0/0
C)
EIC results
D)
ideally PDP-1 (as well as this is recommended by the Kennel Club for
clumber spaniels though no affected dogs have been found in the U.K
and only 4 carriers have been iden fied).
E)
All stud dogs should have an eye test within the 12 months prior to
producing a li er to check no abnormali es that could be passed to
the puppies are present.
F) Ideally gene c COI should be known, and the resul ng li ers COI
checked with Embark prior to breeding to make sure the resul ng
li er does not have a higher COI than both parents.

Stud dog owners should not accept a bitch without:
A)
Hip scores – ideally below breed average.
B)
Elbow scores 0/0
C)
EIC results – clear or carrier depending on the stud dogs’ results –
only clear X carrier or clear X clear should be bred.
D)
Ideally PDP-1 (as well as this is recommended by the Kennel Club for
